Dungeon Dogs Network

Connect / Install

Download the small installer. It asks where to install, then fetches the ~9.4 GB game and the launcher. Later updates are small.

Server (internet)

Use this address from outside the house

Friends (off the house LAN) use the Internet launcher below. It talks to http://71.75.37.88:8000 (host 71.75.37.88, TCP 8000). House PCs use the Local launcher at http://192.168.1.68:8000 — do not mix them.

Installer downloads

Friends: one small installer zip. It downloads Setup.exe from Cloudflare and resumes if interrupted.

Internet installer (friends)

Small zip. Extract anywhere, run Launcher.exe. Pick an install folder — a progress bar appears after Install. If that folder already has a real WAR.exe, the 9.4 GB download is skipped and only the launcher is refreshed. Otherwise it fetches WarhammerOnline-Setup.exe from https://dungeondogs.org/downloads/ (or house :3000 on LAN), and resumes if interrupted (Mega is only offered manually as a last resort). Later opens check for a newer Launcher.exe (saved as Launcher.exe.new, swapped on restart) and small patches on TCP 8085.

Local installer (house LAN)

House PCs only. Same small zip. If WAR.exe is already in the folder you pick (or one level down, including a copied RoR client), the 9.4 GB fetch is skipped and only the launcher is installed. Otherwise the game is robocopy'd from \\192.168.1.68\H (IP share — never hostname, never port 3000). Talks to 192.168.1.68 (login 8000, patcher 8085, lobby 8048). Do not use the Internet zip on house PCs.

FTP download (internet)

Additive option — same public download files over FTP (read-only). External host 71.75.37.88, port 21, user warhammer, password WarhammerFTP-RO. In FileZilla Client (or similar): connect to that host, then grab WarhammerOnline-Installer-Local.zip / WarhammerOnline-Installer-Internet.zip / WarhammerOnline-Setup.exe. Direct URL example: ftp://71.75.37.88/WarhammerOnline-Installer-Internet.zip. House LAN can still use ftp://192.168.1.68/ the same way. Keep using the HTTP zip buttons above if you prefer one-click browser download. Router must forward TCP 21 and TCP 50100–50200 to 192.168.1.68 or external FTP will not work.

Also as a single exe: WarhammerOnline-Installer-Local.exe (LAN) · WarhammerOnline-Installer-Internet.exe (friends). Same payload as the zips.

Direct ~9.4 GB Setup.exe (preferred over Mega): WarhammerOnline-Setup.exe · LAN http://192.168.1.68:3000/downloads/WarhammerOnline-Setup.exe. Mega last resort: Mega link · mirror 2 (HTTP 509 = account bandwidth quota — use the Setup.exe link instead).

UI and combat addon zips are on Addon Downloads (served from the house War Addons share).

Install steps

One small zip, then the installer fetches the game

  1. Download WarhammerOnline-Installer-Internet.zip (Internet installer button). It is small.
  2. Extract it and run Launcher.exe. Click Yes if Windows asks.
  3. Pick an install folder (for example C:\Games\Warhammer Online). Click Install — you should see a progress bar.
  4. If WAR.exe is already in that folder, the 9.4 GB download is skipped. Otherwise it pulls Setup.exe from the site/LAN HTTP cache (resumes if interrupted) and copies the launcher in.
  5. In the launcher, Create Account, then Play Now.
  6. Next time you open the launcher it checks for a new launcher and small patches (icons, etc.) on port 8085. You do not re-download the 9.4 GB file.

House PCs use the Local installer zip. If the folder already has WAR.exe, Install copies the launcher only. Do not use Mega or the Internet zip on house PCs.

⚠️

House vs friends installer

Local button = house PCs · Internet button = friends

Local (house PCs): use the Local button. That zip talks to 192.168.1.68 (8000 / 8085 / 8048).

Internet (friends): use the Internet button. That zip talks to 71.75.37.88 (8000 / 8085 / 8048).

Do not use the Internet installer on house PCs.

🔧

If it will not log in

Usually the house server is off, or a port is not forwarded

The game host is 192.168.1.68 on the house LAN. From the internet, these TCP ports must be forwarded to that machine:

Do not forward FileZilla admin port 14148 to the internet (it stays localhost-only on the server).

If the house server is powered off, nobody can log in until it is back up.

If Launcher.exe was set Read-only to block a bad patch, clear it: right-click → Properties → uncheck Read-only, or attrib -R Launcher.exe in the game Launcher folder. Then install this zip (or reopen the launcher) so 8085 can update again.
